TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
1) Students must have FUN.
2)
Guarantee of one or more finished
paintings that can be framed, during
a week of instruction.
3)
Provision of individual attention and
easy to follow step-by-step
demonstrations.
4) Inspire new artists through
encouragement and positive
critiques
of their
works; and to
provide suggestions on how to
change works in progress into
successful paintings.
5) Encourage continuing students to
explore water and colour and to
expand
their horizons with abstract,
multi media and other alternate
styles of
working.

Summer
Seminars
Beginner courses covering a little art theory - composition and design - but
focusing on the use of watercolour paints and their interaction with water
on paper. We will start with a colour wheel, move on to starting a colour
chart enabling students to discover the properties of various colours.
We will paint every day with
students following step by step demonstrations. Emphasis is on fun and on
producing paintings that can be corrected and finished with gentle
critiques.
We will work with "easy to do"
ideas to impart various techniques and eventually move on to using a
photograph you have brought with you.
"Online Art Classes" are available.
Please inquire via email.
