I've made my home on Salt Spring Island since completing carpentry training in Vancouver in 1984.  I began by contracting the building of homes for such island-based architects as the late Henry Schubart Jr.   It was through these relationships that I gained the knowledge and confidence to begin creating my own building designs.  I believe that a building should be associated very closely to the natural environment. Through carefull siting and the use of natural materials I am able to achieve the balance that is so vital to the
"West Coast Style" of architecture.
